Join the Waitlist.
Local Review Club is invitation-only. Join the waitlist, and we'll notify you when your city's next cohort opens.
We verify every business and every member before granting access.
What Happens After You Apply
Name, business name, role, city, business category, and Google Business Profile URL. We ask for a referral code if you have one — this moves you up the queue — but it's optional.
We confirm that the business exists (GBP, state registrations, domain, phone), that you're associated with it (email match, LinkedIn cross-reference, or a short video call for edge cases), and that you're not an agency, broker, or reseller. This takes 3–5 business days.
Once verified, you receive the full charter and digitally sign the seven-article honor pledge. You also pay your $99 annual dues. Payment is only collected after you're approved — not at application.
The matching engine routes you to other members who are a natural fit for your business category and location. You begin receiving introductions within a week. Reviews arrive at a natural pace — one to three per week, no bursts.
Who We Accept
We admit owners of single-location or small-chain local service businesses operating in the United States. Examples of a strong fit:
- Real estate agents and brokers
- Home-service contractors (HVAC, plumbing, roofing, electrical, remodeling)
- Wellness and medical practices (chiropractors, dentists, aesthetics, therapy)
- Legal and financial advisors
- Consultants and professional services
- Auto repair, detailing, and specialty retail with service components
We typically do not accept:
- Agencies managing reviews for clients
- SEO resellers or review brokers
- Restaurants, retail chains, or entertainment venues (high organic review flow already)
- Businesses currently under Yelp Consumer Alert or Google review suspension
- Any business outside the United States (initially)
Common Questions
How long is the waitlist?
Typical wait is one to two weeks. We release cohorts quarterly to keep each new group small enough that existing members can absorb them without diluting regional density. Priority goes to referrals from existing members and to applicants in underrepresented cities.
What does the $99 cover?
Identity verification, matching infrastructure, bot defense, human moderation, hosting, and transactional fees. No one profits from the Club. If operating costs fall in a given year, dues fall. That is written into the charter.
Do I have to leave reviews for other members?
No. Every review is voluntary and based on genuine experience. The community connects you with other verified business owners; whether you leave a review after experiencing their service is entirely your choice, as is what you write. Members who violate this — by demanding, coordinating, or coaching ratings — are permanently removed.
Can agencies or brokers join?
No. Membership is strictly for real business owners operating a real local business. Agencies, resellers, SEO firms managing clients, and review brokers are refused at the verification step. Misrepresenting your role is grounds for permanent expulsion.
Is this compliant with FTC and Google rules?
Yes. Every review is written by a real person who actually used the service, in their own words, with no compensation tied to rating or content, and no obligation to review at all. This satisfies the FTC's Final Rule (16 CFR Part 465), Google's review policies, and even Yelp's strict anti-solicitation stance. See our Review Generation Services comparison for the compliance matrix.
Can I cancel at any time?
Yes. Dues are billed annually and cancellation takes effect at the end of the membership year — we don't prorate or surprise-charge. Members who leave voluntarily are welcome back; members who leave for rule violations are not.
